Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team in the UK. The Finish Carpenter will be responsible for completing high-quality, detailed carpentry work, including the installation of trims, mouldings, doors, cabinetry, and other interior woodwork. You will play a key role in delivering the final touches to residential and commercial projects, ensuring all work meets aesthetic and functional standards. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, superior craftsmanship, and the ability to work with precision.

Key Responsibilities:
• Interior Finish Work: Install baseboards, crown mouldings, door frames, window casings, stair rails, skirting boards, and other finish woodwork to add a polished look to interiors.
• Cabinetry: Build and install custom cabinets, wardrobes, shelves, and other built-in furniture to specification, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
• Door and Window Installation: Fit and install interior doors, sliding doors, and windows... with accurate alignment and seamless operation.
• Custom Woodwork: Craft and install bespoke wooden features, such as fireplace mantels, decorative mouldings, and handrails, as per client requirements and design plans.
• Woodworking Tools: Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to shape, cut, and finish woodwork, ensuring a smooth and high-quality finish.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and design plans to carry out precise installations.
• Surface Preparation: Sand, stain, and varnish wood surfaces to achieve the desired finish, including matching existing styles or finishes when necessary.
• Repairs and Adjustments: Repair or adjust woodwork as needed, ensuring all installations meet the highest quality standards and function properly.
• Quality Control: Conduct final inspections to ensure that all carpentry work meets aesthetic, structural, and safety standards before project handover.
• Collaboration: Work closely with designers, contractors, and clients to ensure the final product aligns with project expectations and customer satisfaction.

Key Skills & Requirements:
• Experience:
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Finish Carpenter with expertise in detailed carpentry work for residential and commercial interiors.
• Qualifications:
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent (preferred).
• CSCS card (desirable but not essential).
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools required for detailed carpentry work.
• Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Attention to Detail: Impeccable attention to detail and precision, especially when crafting and installing fine woodwork.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues, adapt designs, or make adjustments on-site while maintaining a high standard of quality.
• Physical Fitness: Physically capable of lifting, bending, kneeling, and handling carpentry tools and materials in various environments.
• Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients, supervisors, and other team members.
• Time Management: Ability to manage time efficiently, meet deadlines, and complete projects to a high standard.
• Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence required, as travel to various project sites may be necessary.
