We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join our committed team in the SE6 area. This full-time role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator to make a significant impact on the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities:
Individualized Teaching: Develop and deliver tailored learning plans that meet the unique needs of each student with SEND, ensuring they receive the best possible education.
Classroom Management: Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive.
Assessment and Monitoring: Regularly assess students' progress, adapting teaching methods and strategies as needed to support their ongoing development.
Collaboration: Work closely with teaching assistants, other educators, and external professionals to provide holistic support for students.
Parental Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their... child's progress and working together to address any challenges.
Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest developments in SEND education and participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience as a SEND Teacher or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in Special Educational Needs or a related field.
Skills: Excellent communication, patience, and the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. A creative and flexible approach to teaching is essential.
DBS Check: A valid Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
