Axcis Education is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant for a long-term, full-time position in Reading. This role, based at an all-ages school for students aged 4-18, involves supporting pupils with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), autism, challenging behaviour and complex care needs. A key aspect of this position includes assisting all pupils with personal care, regardless of their age.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will support students with diverse needs, help manage challenging behaviour and work collaboratively with teachers and staff to provide the best possible support. The role is ideal for individuals with experience working with SEND students in any capacity, whether personal, professional or voluntary. While no formal qualifications are required, the ideal... candidate needs to be compassionate, patient and proactive.
Axcis Education offers a daily pay rate of £93.48, along with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students. You will also benefit from working in a supportive and collaborative environment. The hours for this position are 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
