Hours: Full-time, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Pay: Starting from £14.38 per hour
An expanding school in Hungerford, conveniently located near Newbury, is searching for a full-time classroom support assistant to join their team. This role involves working with primary and secondary students with autism, challenging behaviour and specific personal care needs. The school provides a nurturing environment where students can thrive academically and personally.
Role Highlights:
• Assist students with their academic work and help them engage in sensory and extracurricular activities.
• Provide personal care as needed, including helping with daily tasks such as changing nappies.
• Support students in overcoming behavioural challenges and promote a positive learning environment.
Candidate Requirements:
• Experience in managing challenging behaviours, whether in a professional, voluntary or personal capacity.
• Comfort and... willingness to provide personal care for students requiring assistance.
• A compassionate and patient approach, with a dedication to enhancing the educational experience for children with additional needs.
