About the role
We are now seeking an Associate Professor in Sociology to contribute to teaching and research. Applications are welcomed from any applied field of sociology.
You will be... located in one of the department’s research units depending on best fit. You will be expected to enhance our interdisciplinary research portfolio, with a focus on the application of applied social science research methods to real world problems. You will be expected to seek research funding from a range of sources, and to be able to generate demonstrable impact and engagement in your work. In addition you will also be expected to co-lead our MSc Sociology programme and contribute to the teaching of its core modules.
About you
With a PhD in a Sociology, a Sociology sub-discipline, or a closely related field you will also be able to evidence success in obtaining research grants, and clear plans for future grant submissions.
