This is an exciting opportunity to join the Corporate Education Team to deliver education and support for professional development and pastoral support of internationally educated nurses. You would work collaboratively to support the design, delivery and evaluation of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) training programme as set by the NMC.
• To support the Lead Nurse for International Registration and HCSWs in the delivery of a simulation based training programme for internationally educated nurses, who then take OSCE (Observed Structured Clinical Examination) to become registered with NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council).
• To work across the organisation with Practice Education Facilitators to support internationally educated nurses and their practice supervisors/assessors.
• Facilitate the induction, education and continuing professional development for internationally educated nurses.
• To be a role model for... leadership, training, coaching and support existing staff considering the OSCE preparation programme and those recruited from overseas on the OSCE preparation programme.
• To support other ward staff working with the overseas trained nurses to deliver high quality effective care for patients thus improving the patients’ experience.
• Contribute to the development of programmes of education and training, whilst demonstrating awareness of cultural diversity in the workplace and the need to adapt training accordingly.
