Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food and possess excellent leadership and culinary skills to oversee kitchen operations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to create new menu items
- Train kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures
- Monitor sanitation practices to ensure a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a restaurant kitchen as a Chef or Sous Chef
- Strong knowledge of food production, culinary techniques, and kitchen management
- Understanding of food safety practices and regulations
- Leadership skills to motivate and guide kitchen staff
- Culinary... degree or relevant certification is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £11.50-£14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
