Collaborating with the buying team to plan and select the right mix of products.
Analysing sales figures, customer reactions, and market trends to anticipate product needs.
Working closely with visual display staff and department heads to decide how goods should be displayed to maximise sales.
Forecasting profits and sales, and optimising sales volume and profitability of designated product areas.
Planning budgets and presenting sales forecasts to managers.
Keeping an eye on slow sellers and taking action to reduce prices or set promotions as necessary.
Maintaining awareness of competitors' performance and market trends in the retail industry.
Experience working within a retail environment, particularly in merchandising.
A strong commercial acumen and understanding of customer needs.
Excellent... analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
Confidence in suggesting creative and practical solutions.
