Time Type: Full time Working Pattern: Hybrid Purpose of the Role The Learning & Development Advisor is responsible for AEGIS London’s learning and development offering across all areas and all levels of the business. The Learning & Development Advisor will work to promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the Company, and encourage participation in learning activities through effective communication and engagement. Duties and Accountabilities Create an annual training plan; implement learning and development interventions and opportunities, focusing on those which improve the skills and expertise of our employees. Work with managers to identify skills gaps in their teams, identify training requirements, and conduct career mapping exercises. Work with managers and employees to deliver effective... performance management, e.g. goal setting, and designing robust development plans which align to career aspirations and the needs of the business. Design and deliver some training and programmes internally (when not using 3rd parties); source suitable external training providers, and liaise with them accordingly to deliver meaningful training/learning opportunities for our employees. Responsible for all early-careers initiatives within AEGIS London, such as our apprenticeship programme. Provide meaningful MI on return of investment within learning and development; use this data to make improvements and changes, where required. Manage all annual mandatory training requirements, such as: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I), Compliance and IT Security training, and monitor completion rates. Manage the annual training budget and our learning and development Preferred Suppliers List (PSL). Manage the learning and development inbox, the logistics and scheduling for all training, and some general administration, e.g. processing professional study requests or CII membership renewals (supported by our HR Assistant) Lead on and support with other ad hoc projects as they arise. Skills, Knowledge and Experience A solid understanding of learning and development best practice, and experience implementing learning and development activities and initiatives Experience creating and delivering training, and be comfortable working with groups of varying sizes from across the business and at different levels of seniority Excellent attention to detail, and effective organisational and time-management skills; able to prioritse own workload and work to deadlines Customer and results focussed, with excellent written and verbal communication skills Be computer literate and proficient with IT systems, including MS Office suite; may have experience of LMS systems Previous experience working in the insurance industry or Lloyd’s market, or may have worked within financial services CIPD qualified, but will have relevant, demonstrable experience Relevant qualifications or achievements in relation to delivering training Familiar with our HRIS, Workday AEGIS Values Fairness and respect We make decisions considering the best interests of key stakeholders.
