The Opportunity:
A leading European Defence Company is seeking a Real-Time Embedded Software Engineer to join their team in Stevenage, SG1 2DA. This role offers the opportunity to work on advanced missile systems, playing a crucial role in the design, development, testing, and deployment of embedded software.
The Role:
This is a dynamic opportunity where you will be part of an agile, cross-functional team working collaboratively to deliver complex, real-time software solutions embedded in missile sub-components. You'll contribute to shaping the architecture, rigorous testing, and have hands-on experience with missile components and lab testing.
Essential Requirements:
• Security Clearance: British citizen or dual UK national, eligible for or holding SC Clearance
• Real-Time Embedded Software Experience: Proven track record in developing hard real-time embedded systems
• C Programming Proficiency: Strong skills in C' with an understanding of its application in real-time... environments
• Communication Protocols: Familiarity with protocols like SPI, UART, Ethernet, and PCI-Express
• Software Design Expertise: Knowledge of design practices such as UML
• Analytical Skills: Capable of evaluating system performance and ensuring smooth integration
• SDLC Experience: In-depth experience across the full software development life cycle
Benefits Package:
• Base Salary: Up to £65,000 (DoE)
• Bonus: Around £2,500 annually
• Overtime: Optional paid overtime - flat rate (1.25)
