Job Descrption
This role focuses on engineering robust production and non-production trading environments by optimizing deployment automation, monitoring systems, release management, and incident response. You will play a critical role in building internal operational tools and integrating industry-leading vendor products to enhance trading operations.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work across diverse asset classes, from equities and futures to commodities, FX, and fixed income products. In this role, you will optimize the software delivery process to ensure maximum efficiency and control of production changes while developing and maintaining operational tools for improved visibility and plant management. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering teams to optimize hardware footprint, application placement, and conduct capacity planning... Additionally, you will work with trade support teams to design automation tools that reduce operational tasks and enhance incident response capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
• Expertise in UNIX operating systems.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience with deployment automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Salt).
• Strong development skills in Python and shell scripting (bash).
• Experience with production incident response and on-call rotations.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Genuine interest in financial topics and a desire to learn more.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Professional experience in the financial industry.
• Experience writing or supporting C++ applications.
