Job Description
Organize and control the flow of service work through the service department in a professional... timely manner. Work closely with the Service Manager daily to ensure processes are being followed by the team to maximize shop flow and profitability.

Responsibilities
• Organize and control the flow of service work through the service department in a professional, timely manner.
• Work closely with the Service Manager daily to ensure processes are being followed by the team to maximize shop flow and profitability.
• Implement and maintain an effective dispatch system.
• Schedule shop work to facilitate maximum productivity in accordance with dealership policy and the technician skill level required.
• Ensure proper repair order documentation, i.e., complaint, cause, and correction noted on every repair order with punch time for each operation.
• Maintain an organized and up-to-date repair log.
• Prepare a list of needed service department equipment, supplies, and required repairs, and review it with the Service Manager as needed.
• Advise the Fixed Operation Manager of repetitive shortages so that corrective action can be taken.
• Ensure that Technicians follow warranty material disposition procedures.
• Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
• Maintain a professional appearance for self and subordinates in accordance with company policy.
• Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
• Automotive Service Dispatcher, Service Advisor or Technician experience is required with a proven track record.
• KIA experience preferred.
• Must be able to run dispatch at a high-volume service department.
• Must be able to coordinate with Shop Foreman.
• Capable of working independently as well as in a team.
• Organized and friendly personality with good customer service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage others.
• High school or equivalent.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident.
• Must pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screening.
