4-5+ years of experience within Accounting focusing on US payroll processing
1-2+ years utilizing ADP to process payroll
1-2+ years utilizing Netsuite is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of US payroll laws, regulations and tax requirements
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to be detail oriented
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to get the job done
Ability to cross-collaborate across the organization, prioritize work and follow-through while working closely with different stakeholders
Bonus points:
Experience working in startup and/or fintech environment
Experience working on a global team
A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:
Process bi-monthly payrolls for US employees
Process commissions, bonuses, and off-cycle payroll, terminations, salary adjustments and other ad hoc requests as needed
Review and verify hourly employee timekeeping records, and resolve any discrepancies
Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and local tax regulations, and prepare all tax regulation reports as required
Generate and review payroll reports and complete any reconciliation needed within payroll data to ensure accuracy
Collaborate closely with HR, Benefits and Finance teams to ensure accurate employee data is maintained within ADP
Answer all employee inquiries in a timely manner as the subject-matter expert in Payroll within the US
Work closely with FP&A and internal business partners to investigate payroll budget discrepancies to actual variances through the analysis of records
Work cross-functionally to support any accounting related activities, and assist with any ad-hoc requests or projects as needed

As a fintech company, our Finance team champions the utilization of the Melio product to pay our company’s vendors through the Melio platform. We not only use the platform as a user, but we work cross functionally throughout the business to improve the user experience. The finance team takes an active role in managing the company’s flow of funds, payroll, equity, investor relations, budget, forecast reconciliation, treasury, tax, and all things related to money!
