Our client is asset manager with offices in London, United States, Asia and the Middle East, with more than US$10 billion assets under management.

They are now looking for a lawyer to support private credit deal work, along with other corporate work in all aspects of the asset management business. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to move into the private creidt ecosystem whilst leveraging their existing legal skill set. Salary and benefits are competitive.

Qualifications

Key skills and experience
• 3-5 years' PQE would be preferable but we are willing to consider those with more or less experience
• Demonstrable experience in private equity and venture capital investments, preferably on behalf of fund clients
• Familiarity with key drafting and market practice
• Must be comfortable with transactions in jurisdictions around the globe
• Solid legal skills, including drafting, negotiation and project management skills; good people management and business development... skills

Key responsibilities
• Take responsibility for the delivery and quality of legal work and transaction management
• Understanding the current market terms and requirements of the funds and investors
• Manage external counsel and act as effective intermediary between investment team, portfolio companies and external counsel
• Coordinate matters or work streams, delegate, and manage work appropriately
• Ensure all internal legal, compliance and business requirements are addressed in all transactions
