ML MEAT Supplies is a leading provider of high-quality meat products to the food industry. We are committed to maintaining a smooth and efficient warehouse operation to support our business needs. We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our team.
Job Description:
The Warehouse Operative will be responsible for picking and packing goods, specifically working in the freezer at temperatures of -18°C. The role also includes conducting stock control and ensuring that all products are stored and handled correctly. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in cold environments for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities:
• Pick and pack goods from the freezer at -18°C for customer orders.
• Ensure accurate stock control, regularly checking inventory levels and reporting any discrepancies.
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, ensuring proper handling and storage of goods.
• Organize and... maintain the warehouse to ensure products are stored efficiently and safely.
• Monitor stock levels and alert management when reordering is necessary.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet trucks and forklifts (if certified).
• Follow health and safety guidelines, especially regarding working in low temperatures and handling perishable goods.
• Complete any paperwork or system updates related to stock movements and orders.
• Assist with periodic stock counts and inventory audits.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred.
• Ability to work in freezer conditions at -18°C for extended periods (appropriate protective gear will be provided).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience with stock control and inventory management is a plus.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy goods.
• Forklift license (preferred).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills for stock management and order tracking.

Pay: £11.72-£12.46 per hour
