Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Logistics Manager to oversee and coordinate on-site operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient management of the transportation, warehousing, and inventory control.
Duties
- Responsible for ordering, receiving, warehousing and distribution operations, making observations and collaborate on developing improvements.
- Manage health and safety on site ensuring all legal compliance and quality compliance.
- Control inventory levels and stock rotations with weekly physical counts to reconcile with data storage systems.
- Schedule and oversee the local team managing flow and shift patterns to maximise efficiency.
- Client communication forms an integral part of the role, knowledge and understanding of individual client SLA’s and KPI’s within each contract are monitored and reported on for compliance.
- Complete annual appraisals for all designated staff.
- Highlight poor service levels with individuals responsible for... Working with Operations Manager to provide corrective support for individuals.
- Assist with HR investigations in any matters arising for your designated team.
- Achieve the financial objective by understanding annual budget and ensuring controls are implemented to monitor expenditure.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics operations
- Utilise equipment as needed for warehouse operations (no fork lift requirement)
Qualifications
- Proven experience in logistics management, with a strong understanding of transportation management systems
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems, and other relevant software
- Knowledge of warehouse management best practices and procedures
- Familiarity with business processes related to supply chain management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with internal teams and external partners
