Job Descrption
We are looking for an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to lead our FMCG business expansion in Europe. This role involves driving growth across designated markets, building strategic relationships, and leading a team of dedicated professionals. The ideal candidate is fluent in German, has an in-depth knowledge of FMCG markets in Germany and/or Poland, and has a passion for the food industry. This role requires a high level of independence and strategic thinking to adapt to diverse market dynamics and achieve business targets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Market Strategy & Business Development
• Develop and implement a strategic plan to drive business growth and increase market share in designated countries.
• Conduct in-depth market analyses to identify growth opportunities, consumer trends, and competitor activities in each region.
• Establish and nurture long-term partnerships with key distributors, retailers, wholesalers, and stakeholders in each country.

2. Team... Leadership
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business development professionals focused on these markets.
• Drive performance for the team, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Foster a collaborative team environment and provide ongoing training and support to enhance team effectiveness.

3. Sales & Revenue Growth
• Develop sales targets and oversee the execution of sales strategies to achieve growth objectives in each market.
• Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing actionable insights and adjusting strategies to maximize revenue.
• Work with key accounts to secure expansion of distribution and penetration.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration
• Work closely with internal functions to ensure a cohesive go-to-market strategy across all coutries.
• Coordinate with category team to review product portfolio based on regional consumer preferences and trends.
• Drive brand visibility and positioning by collaborating with the marketing team to execute localized campaigns.

5. Budget Management
• Manage budgets for business development initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

6. Reporting & Market Insights
• Regularly report on market conditions, team performance, and sales results to senior management.
• Provide insights into regional market trends and recommend adjustments to the overall strategy as needed.

Education & Experience:
• University degree level or equivalent, Business or Marketing degree an advantage.
• 5+ years of experience in FMCG business development or sales within Europe, ideally DACH & Poland markets, with a strong network of contacts in these regions.

Requirements & Skills:

Must
• Permission to work in the UK.
• Fluency in German is required, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proven experience in team leadership, with a track record of developing and managing a successful sales team.
• Strong understanding of FMCG dynamics in Germany, Poland, Austria, and Switzerland, with experience in navigating local regulatory and consumer landscapes.
• Independent, proactive, and results-oriented, with the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Prepared to work flexible hours and ok with travel when needed.
• Highly organised and self & result-driven.
• Excellent social, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good Microsoft office skills for sales figure analysis, reporting, and presentation.
• Full driving licence.

Preferred
• Passion for food and the food industry is highly desirable, as this aligns with our brand values and culture.

· Good knowledge of the working kitchen will facilitate the communication with some customers.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
