The Role:

Connatix is seeking an Associate Account Executive to join our Demand Sales team. You’ll work within the Demand Sales team to build new business relationships with advertisers and agency contacts assigned to you and sourced by you.

The ideal candidate will bring strong communication and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, a consultative selling approach to clients, and a strong willingness to learn.

Role & Responsibilities: 

  • Work with major accounts and their advertising agencies, brand-direct, and advertising partnerships on driving the Connatix value proposition
  • Maintain a dedicated book of business, managing the managed service and programmatic deal process from proposal generation to order entry across assigned accounts
  • Maintain pipeline accuracy for your book of business within the Salesforce platform
  • Execute budget revisions, including incremental spend, optimizations, makegoods, and cancellations
  • Demonstrate product knowledge and capacity to drive a  product pitch
  • Have an understanding of pricing and proposal models, including open marketplace and private marketplace (PMP) differences
  • Maximize all opportunities in the process of closing a sale, resulting in the taking of market share from larger competitors

Sell consultatively and make recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers to their business issues (upselling into clients)

  • Develop a database of qualified leads
  • Create and conduct effective proposal presentations and RFP responses that identify prospects' business problems, and the effects of the problems
  • Partner closely with the Programmatic Account Management team to execute campaigns, maximize delivery against contracted goals, and address client reporting needs
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to assist with the billing process when necessary
  • Communicate effectively with agency contacts to address deal deliverables and ad hoc requests
  • Identify areas for improvement within the pre-sale process and recommend solutions to drive operational efficiencies
  • Work in a cross-functional teams/environment 
  • As needed, prepare and follow up for client meetings, including the review of industry and account-specific information
  • Manage inbound requests and opportunities; if prospect is within mid-market, you will be expected to close opportunities

Requirements: 

  • 3+ years of work experience in Digital Media working within a media agency vendor or client-direct in a Sales, Account Management, Operations, and Planning capacity
  • High attention to detail, proactive, responsive, and solution-oriented
  • Thrives in a team environment and collaborates well with others
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deliver well-positioned presentations
  • Organizational skills with the ability to use available resources to reach solutions
  • Able to multitask and prioritize based on account tier and urgency on a daily basis
  • Ability to hold and exceed sales quotas
  • High level of responsibility, accountability, and ownership
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with video ad sales a plus
  • Independent agency book of business is a plus
