Purpose of Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Water Hygiene Manager to oversee the management and maintenance of water hygiene systems at the Princess Royal Hospital in Orpington.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in water systems, along with proven experience in managing large mechanical, HVAC, and water maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

Technical Management: Oversee the operation and maintenance of water hygiene systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Team Leadership: Lead and manage a large team of mechanical, HVAC, and water maintenance professionals, ensuring effective performance and development.
Risk Management: Implement and manage risk... assessments and mitigation strategies for water systems to prevent contamination and ensure safety.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities and systems comply with health and safety regulations, including those specific to water hygiene.
Project Coordination: Coordinate with other departments and external contractors to manage projects related to water systems and hygiene.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all water hygiene activities, including monitoring data, maintenance schedules, and compliance reports.

Essential Qualifications/Skills

Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of water systems, including the principles of water hygiene and safety.
Experience: Proven experience in managing water systems, with a preference for candidates who have worked in NHS PFI / healthcare settings.
RP/AP Experience: Ideally possess Responsible Person (RP) or Authorised Person (AP) experience related to water hygiene.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in managing large maintenance teams.
Regulatory Understanding: Comprehensive knowledge of relevant regulations and standards related to water hygiene and safety.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with team members, other departments, and external contractors.
