Our dynamic Culligan UK Operations team is on the lookout for an innovative Logistics and Operations Improvement Manager to enhance our growing team. We're in search of a strategic thinker who can lead initiatives focused on boosting efficiency, streamlining processes, and driving sustainable advancements across our logistics, field service, supply chain, and technical operations. This position calls for a results-driven leader with outstanding analytical skills and a proven history of implementing effective solutions that elevate performance, enhance customer satisfaction, and substantially lower operational costs. You'll take a hands-on approach to problem-solving while inspiring cross-functional teams to adopt and execute continuous improvement strategies. We're also looking for someone who can nurture a culture of excellence and innovation within the organization, fostering a mindset of continuous improvement for everyone.
Requirements
Process Improvement: Identify areas for... improvement in current processes and address any gaps and inefficiencies whilst removing non-value add activity. Regularly assess the effectiveness of implemented changes and make adjustments as necessary to sustain long-term gains in efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Continuous Improvement: Utilise Lean Six Sigma methodologies and other improvement tools to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions. Drive interdepartmental teams to collaborate on improvements initiatives which streamline operational practices and improve customer experience.
Technology & Innovation: Evaluation of technologies supported thorough business cases which can be utilised within the operation to achieve automation, efficiency gains, cost reductions and improved customer interactions. Requirement for close collaboration with all departments to ensure chosen solutions are implemented and embedded effectively and benefits realised.
KPI Development: Review and refinement of current operational KPI's to relevance and alignment to wider business goals. Automation of KPI's and reporting where applicable to remove manual collation of data and streamline reporting processes. Ensure that KPIs not only monitor current performance but also provide insights for proactive decision-making and strategic planning. Regularly assess the effectiveness of KPIs and adjust them as needed to respond to evolving business needs and goals, fostering a data-driven culture focused on excellence and accountability.
Logistics Optimisation: Develop and implement strategies to streamline transportation, warehousing and distribution processes; optimise routes and delivery schedules to improve efficiencies and reduce operational costs.
Operations Improvement: Conduct analysis to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in production, inventory management, and order fulfilment, whilst identifying solutions to enhance productivity, reduce waste, & improve overall operational performance.
Operations & Logistics Contingency: Identification and assessment of risks to logistics and operations and development of contingency plans to ensure continuity of service.
Qualifications & Additional Requirements
• Proven experience in a fast-paced operations & supply chain management environment
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in logistics software and tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and project management experience
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
• Flexible in approach to competing priorities and ability to adapt and work under pressure
• Commitment to learning & development within the field of logistics, operations management & supply chain
Please note this is a hybrid role and you will be required to travel to different business site locations.
