We have an opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team HMP Wormwood Scrubs a category B remand prison in West London, based close to East Acton and White City stations. The site supports around 1280 patients including a 17 bed inpatient unit. This is a fantastic opportunity that would suit an experienced pharmacist who thrives on working within a fast paced environment and working collaboratively within clinical teams. The site has an aging population, with high long term conditions and polypharmacy, as part of your role would provide advice on medicines management, clinical screening and deliver structured medication review clinics.
If you are interested in development the site also offers the opportunity to complete an independent prescriber course.
Hours
Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm
Salary
This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £57,500 per annum ... depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Pharmacist, your responsibilities will vary. You will
• Be responsible for the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service.
• Work closely with the Head of Healthcare and the multidisciplinary team, you'll be responsible for ensuring that the provision of service meets the contractual obligations.
• Provide daily expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensuring that a safe but modern medicines management service is provided to prisoners.

Requirements
• GPhC registered Pharmacist.
• Hold a prescriber qualification or have applied for the funding to complete this.
• Management and leadership experience (desirable).
• Procurement and audit experience (desirable).
• Vocational Master’s Degree in Pharmacy including pre-registration training
• Excellent communication skills
Ideal applicants would have hospital or general practice experience due to the nature of this role.
