We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical/ Forensic or Counselling Psychologist to join our integrated Mental Healthcare team at HMP Thameside. HMP Thameside a category B resettlement prison in the South-East London houses around 1232 patients, the prison is suitable for applicants who will be commuting as it is based close to Woolwich Arsenal and Plumstead stations. This role would suited to either a newly qualified or experience Psychologist familiar with working with adult mental health presentations including neurodiversity and complex trauma. The applicant must be familiar with trauma informed practice and trained in at least one trauma specific intervention. The applicant will be part of the full staffed Integrated Mental Health Team and will be an integral part of the clinical leadership team supporting the development of the psychological therapies service.

This... position is a full time position offering up to £60,926 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a qualified, HCPC registered Psychologist, your responsibilities will vary. You will
• Offer clinical support and oversight to the Integrated Mental Health Team (IMHT) in the form of training
• Undertake psychological assessments Support complex multi-disciplinary formulations
• Deliver psychological interventions to cases of complexity
• Deliver and oversee 1:1 and group intervention as part of the Trauma Informed 'Making Sense' Programme
• Deliver teaching and training to healthcare and prison staff where required
• Contribute to the development of audit, service evaluation and research profile as appropriate

Qualifications required
• · Full HCPC registration
• · Proven post-qualification professional experience in Clinical/ Forensic Psychology
• · Experience working with Forensic Mental Health patients
• · Experience working with psychological Trauma
• · Excellent communication skills
