We are seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join our team and provide essential support in healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will assist in delivering high-quality care to patients within the Waltham Forest and Newham area in London. The ideal candidate will ensure the well-being and comfort of patients. We are a Domiciliary Care company.
• Duties*
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
• help with personal care, such as showering, dressing and toileting
• assist with food preparation and provide help with eating
• carry out household tasks, such as laundry and shopping
• provide emotional support and help promote mental wellbeing
• support with hobbies and physical activities
• get to know service users and understand their individual needs and interests
• liaise with other health and social care professionals
• help to organise outings and other leisure activities
•... provide support to families and relatives taking on new care responsibilities
• monitor temperature, pulse, respiration and weight of the individual
• booking and attending appointments for service users
As care assistants work with vulnerable individuals, prior to starting employment, you pass a DBS check. DBS stands for disclosure and barring service, and they help facilitate record checks to ascertain whether you have any previous criminal convictions. Due to the intimate nature of care work, these checks help employers to make safer hiring decisions to protect those who use their services.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and record-keeping
• Requirements*
- Proficiency in English for clear communication with patients and colleagues
- Ability to follow care plans accurately
- Experience in Domiciliary settings is advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £11.95-£13.15 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
