Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Wood Machinist to join our team in manufacturing specialist doors and door frames in our busy, fast paced factory. Using a variety of different machines, the role will require you to produce high quality, accurate components from a variety of timbers. Appropriate machine and manual handling training will be provided. You will be required to work both as a team and alone, so good communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude to work are vital.

Responsibilities:

- Work in an efficient manor to ensure deadlines are met.
- Operate and set up machines to perform tasks such as cutting, moulding & plaining.
- Use hand tools and precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy
- Read and interpret drawings and job specifications to produce accurate, high quality components
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications

Experience:

- Experienced in handling and machining various species of timber
- Ability to... work with precision and attention to detail
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
- Proven experience as a Machinist or similar role
- Proficiency in using hand tools and operating machinery
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining processes

Join our team as a Machinist and contribute your expertise in machining to produce high-quality components for specialist doors and door frames. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 - 15:30. Your rate of pay will be reviewed once you have completed your probation period.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
