Job Descrption
Quantum Light Capital is looking for a meticulous and analytical Data Quality Specialist to join our team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of our data sets, which are vital to our investment strategies. This position is ideal for a person who is eager to gain experience in data analysis while exploring the venture capital landscape. You will work with SQL, Python, and data quality management techniques while collaborating with both the Data and Investment Teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Data Quality Assurance: Maintain and enhance the quality of our data sets by identifying, investigating, and rectifying any inconsistencies or errors in the data.
• Data Research and Analysis: Lead research projects focused on data modeling, completeness, and integrating new data sources. Evaluate the reliability of various data sources, and recommend best practices for data integration, and recommend best practices for data... integration.
• Anomalies Detection and Conflicts Resolution: Identify conflicting data entries coming from different sources and ensure consistency in companies, investors, deals and other parameters and critical data points
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Investment and Data Teams to align data standards with investment strategies. Collaborate on cross-team projects to maintain data integrity and support business goals.
• Testing and Fixing Data: Conduct data validation tests and address any issues identified. For example, flag investment rounds where the raised amount is unusually high compared to the company’s valuation and investigate data accuracy.
Essential Requirements
• Education:
• Recently graduated from a degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field from a top-tier university.
• Additional coursework or certifications in Machine Learning, Data Science, or related fields are a plus.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Familiarity with version control using GitHub.
• Basic understanding of machine learning and data science concepts.
• Other Skills:
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and a perfectionist mindset.
• Demonstrated interest in venture capital and its data-driven applications
