Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a CO+I CE Program Manager, you will play a key role in delivering and managing critical environment infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft’s online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Our infrastructure comprises a global portfolio of over 100 datacenters and 1 million servers. Skills
• Strong project management skills
• Knowledge of Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU)
• Experience with physical IT infrastructures (e.g., Servers, SANs, Networking)
• Familiarity with Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) and Building Automation Systems (BAS)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
• Provide direction and oversight on CE projects and initiatives
• Drive consistency and best practice adoption in data center operations
• Evaluate project scope and resource capacity for CE-related requests
• Serve as the primary contact for feedback on the CE Program
• Lead and mentor DC CE Management teams in incident analysis
• Ensure compliance with Microsoft policies and industry standards
• Train and onboard new CE personnel in new DC metro areas
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent AND relevant experience in large-scale IT environments
• Ability to pass Microsoft’s security background check requirements
Education Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent
Education Requirements Credential Category
• Certification in Project Management (preferred)
Experience Requirements
• 4+ years’ experience in Critical Environment infrastructures or related fields
• Experience in project management and physical IT infrastructures
