We are currently seeking a skilled Development Manager to drive the success of our residential-led projects from concept to completion.
Position Overview:
As the Development Manager, you will lead the execution of our real estate development projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and within budget. Your role will involve managing all aspects of development, from acquisition, planning and contract negotiation to project management and stakeholder relations... This role requires strong project management skills, technical expertise and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of real estate projects (RIBA 1-6), ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timelines.
• Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure financial targets are met. Provide financial reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
• Consultant and Contractor Management: Select, negotiate, and manage contracts with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants.
• Document Management: Liaise with lawyers to draft key legal documents, including Agreements for Lease, Build Contracts, Development Agreements, Sale Agreements, and Finance Agreements.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure projects comply with all regulations and best practices for design and construction.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for investors, clients, regulatory bodies, and community groups. Provide regular updates through presentations and reports.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Planning, Project Management, Finance, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in real estate development or project management with a proven track record.
• Deep understanding of the real estate development process, including acquisition, design, construction, and finance.
• Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with strong relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
