Job Descrption

We are looking for a skilled sewing machinist or a tailor or a dressmaker to join our small fashion studio team based in Eltham. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and excellent attention to detail.

We offer a minimum of 20 hours per week and up to 40 hours per week. Regular working days are Monday to Friday.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Cutting and sewing garments.
• Knowledge of garment construction.
• Knowledge of different fabrics and their properties
• Quality control of completed work.
• Proficient in using sewing machines and other tools.
• Doing repairs and alterations to the garments effectively and at the right speed.
• Taking precise measurements to ensure the perfect fit.
• Keep work area clean and organised.
• Liaising with studio manager and clients as and when required.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Industrial machining experience.
• Experience sewing various types of fabrics.
• Good communicator.
• Attention to detail.
• Able to provide creative input, to solve... problems and manage change of plans.
• Reliable timekeeping and able to meet deadlines.
• Positive attitude.
• Must be eligible to work in UK.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £11,900.00-£23,800.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
