A Day In The Life…

Our Head of Supply Chain is looking for a proactive Supply Chain Planner to join are small but ambitious supply chain team. You will form an integral member in leading and managing our global marketplaces and corresponding stock locations. Your role will involve leading the Supply Chain function for the business and will be responsible for keeping optimum stock levels in line with projected growth for 2024, as well as managing a lot of new product launches.  We need someone that is willing to get involved in all operational processes, as well as being able to adapt when challenges are thrown our way. The successful candidate will be able to provide solutions and drive projects forward to aid the business help achieves the yearly targets. You’ll ideally have experience working in a DTC/online e-commerce environment, with experience in demand planning/supply chain fast paced role.

Your day to day will look a little bit like this…

  • Oversee forecast and planning tools across marketplaces, Amazon across all the US, UK, and Canada
  • Building strong relationships with Supply Chain contacts to nurture working relationships and ensure Purchase Orders are delivered in time in line with business needs
  • Facilitate successful product and range launches, promotions, seasonal planning, new product development (NPD), events and phase change aligned to the agreed critical path, engaging with Commercial in a timely manner
  • Identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement and drive best practise, whilst delivering the best service to our customers
  • Help and support the month end reconciliation process and work closely with the finance team to ensure month end figures are accurate
  • Monitor and report on ageing stock ensuring cross department engagement and notification when required
  • Support in reviewing and alignment of supplier production schedules to ensure all orders are fulfilled on time and in full for all marketplaces including but not limited to:
    •    Amazon
    •    Chewy
  • Facilitate successful product launches and work closely with NPD on new product launches and manage the product launch with the supplier/ trigger stock collections where applicable. Communicate product launches to relevant teams and any changes
  • Work closely with our US fulfilment partner and resolve stock and receiving issues
  • Work with the QA Team/Goods In to monitor rejects and quality issues
  • Review and approve invoices; rejecting / challenging with suppliers where necessary
  • Work with finance at the end of every month to ensure stock receipts for that month correlate with payments
  • Support the set up of marketplaces in new markets, work closely with the marketplace team to ensure launches are successful
  • Work closely with the marketplace team to ensure promotional sales & seasonal planning are aligned with planned sales spikes.

Requirements

What You Need…

  • Minimum of 2-3 years previous experience in a demand-focused supply chain planning role in a FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) business or DTC/B2C ecommerce environment
  • Strong understanding of supply chain & logistic processes & procedures
  • Ability to build cross functional relationships with Marketing, Finance and Growth
  • Great attention to detail, and a constant drive to improve the status quo
  • Self-starter, ready to hit the ground running
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Highly organised with an eye for detail, able to anticipate and resolve problems, prioritising and calling out issues that arise
  • An analytical approach coupled with effective communication and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Computer literacy – MS Excel at an intermediate level is compulsory,  NetSuite knowledge useful but not essential
