JOB DESCRIPTION

The Head of Lead Generation will be responsible for establishing, leading, and scaling the lead generation function at IFX Payments... This position is essential to driving growth, specifically by enhancing the brokerage and multicurrency IBAN offering. The successful candidate will build and manage a high-performing team, ensuring that lead generation efforts are aligned with business objectives and effectively support the wider sales team. This role requires strategic vision and hands-on leadership to generate qualified leads, book high-quality meetings, and optimize outreach strategies through data-driven decision-making.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Leadership & Team Building:
• Establish the Lead Generation Team: Recruit, train, and manage a team of Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs), Sales Development Managers (SDMs), and Data Analysts, setting a foundation for lead generation success.
• Develop Sales Pipeline: Collaborate with the sales executives to generate a strong pipeline of qualified leads that align with IFX Payments’ target markets, particularly within the brokerage and multicurrency IBAN sectors.
• Drive Performance: Oversee the team’s daily activities, ensuring KPIs around lead generation, meeting bookings, and revenue targets are consistently met or exceeded.
• Strategic Planning & Execution:
• Define Lead Generation Strategy: Develop and implement a lead generation strategy focused on outbound outreach (calls, emails, and social media) and optimizing the sales funnel for the brokerage and multicurrency IBAN offerings.
• Market Research & Segmentation: Identify target verticals and client personas using data insights, market research, and collaboration with sales executives.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage the Data Analyst role to optimize lead sourcing, targeting, and outreach tactics, ensuring a high return on lead generation efforts.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
• Collaborate with Sales Executives: Work closely with the sales team to ensure qualified leads are seamlessly passed along and that feedback loops on lead quality are in place.
• Work with Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing team to align outreach messaging, support campaigns, and ensure leads are nurtured effectively from initial contact through to sales engagement.
• Technology & CRM Management:
• Lead Technology Integration: Oversee the setup and management of CRM (HubSpot), data tools (e.g., ZoomInfo, Zint), and communication platforms to track leads, outreach activities, and conversions.
• Optimize Outreach Channels: Manage and refine outbound campaigns across multiple channels (email, social, phone) to maximize engagement and meeting bookings.
• Reporting & Analytics:
• Track and Report KPIs: Monitor key performance metrics, including the number of leads generated, conversion rates, meetings booked, and sales revenue from the lead generation function.
• Regular Reporting: Provide insights and reports to senior leadership on lead generation activities, conversion success, and areas for improvement.

COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in lead generation, sales development, or related sales roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management capacity.
• Proven Success: Demonstrated track record of building and scaling a lead generation function, driving revenue growth, and meeting or exceeding KPIs in a B2B environment, ideally in financial services or fintech.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to define a lead generation strategy aligned with business goals and market conditions, with a focus on brokerage and multicurrency IBAN sectors.
• Analytical Mindset: Comfortable using data and analytics to guide decision-making and optimize outreach strategies.
• Leadership & Team Building: Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team.
• Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot), data tools (e.g., ZoomInfo, Zint), and lead generation technologies. Hands-on experience with setting up and managing sales workflows and processes.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and data teams.

ADDITIONAL INFO
• We work on a hybrid basis with Monday and Friday from home and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from our office in central London.
