Windows System Administrator
• Salary: Up to £90,000 (based on candidate experience)

About the Role & Client:
• My client, a leading UK based IT Services & Consulting organisation, are seeking a heavily experience Windows System Administrator to join their team on a permanent basic.
• The candidate will initially work with their end client - a well-known, globally operating financial organisation where they will apply hands-on Administration of a large scale Windows environment.
• Experience with Active Directory and PowerShell are essential for this role.
• Strong experience of automation (Ansible) & CI/CD Pipelines is essential

• 30% Active Directory and related... technologies
• 20% PowerShell
• 15% Ansible and automation
• 15% Windows Servers/Compliance/CIS
• 10% Git
• 5% Networks
• 5% Agile methodology/Scrum/Jira
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as a Senior Windows Administrator/Automation Specialist within a globally operating Windows environment
• Provisioning Active Directory across a global organisation
• Utilising PowerShell for deployment, integration, automation
• Automating Windows system administration tasks using Ansible to streamline provisioning, configuration management, and deployments.
• Integrating Ansible with existing CI/CD pipelines and other automation tools
• Supporting Windows patch management, deployment strategies, and environment provisioning using Ansible automation.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in Windows environments, using automation tools like Ansible to diagnose and resolve common problems.
• Utilising YAML, Git, Ansible Tower, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
• Working with Automation products eg Ansible/Ansible tower, Chef Inspec
Candidate Experience:
• SME level knowledge of Windows environments,
• Extensive experience with Active Directory
• Strong abilities Scripting with PowerShell
• Outstanding knowledge of Automation & CI/CD deployment (Ansible)
• Strong recent professional experience within large Financial Services environments, and understanding of the workings of the sector
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Azure, or related certifications (desirable)
• Outstanding communication skills
