Purpose of the role

The 3rd line IT Infrastructure Engineer will complement the existing IT Operations team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the design, build & maintenance of complex & secure infrastructure solutions working closely with our customers (internal & external) to ensure timely delivery of projects to agreed specifications and supporting the business growth.

Duties

Administration of O365 including SharePoint, Security, Defender, Teams and Exchange

Azure Hybrid Cloud administration and support, taking responsibility for the more advanced support and... solutions deployment.

Administration of Intune to create and manage policy, update endpoints and mobile devices.

Manage excel backup systems for operation and restore readiness. Data Backup/Recovery experience with Acronis would be advantageous.

Operate as technical advisor to 1st-ine and 2nd-line service desk analysts.

Support technical projects, maintenance and other change and operational activities in your areas of expertise.

Addressing end-user requests through multiple communication channels in a 3rd line escalation capacity.

Organise own workload and ensure agreed quality standards, service levels, project and change timescales are met and with minimal disruption to users.

Contribute technical advice and support to impact assessments and solutions for service, change and new requirement requests and ensure compliance with change control practices.

Experience in Documenting IT Processes and procedures. Write technical HLDs/LLDs, work instructions and user documentation and present technical options and guidance clearly and concisely in technical and non-technical documents tailored to audience.

Conduct daily checks and constantly monitor systems, analyse trends, and take remedial action as appropriate.

Microsoft Server O/S, Active Directory, Microsoft Networking and Security (internal/external Certificate administration)

Ensure all investigations and solutions consider security such as malware and viruses and that security incidents are resolved immediately to mitigate risks to the live system.

Undertake technical projects as required by the IT Operations Manager.

Core Competencies

Strong 3rd line administration competencies in O365 / Azure / Hybrid infrastructures.

Strong customer focus in support issue resolution.

Utilisation of monitoring tools (e.g. SolarWinds) to proactively identify and resolve issues.

Collaborative working with supply chain and strategic partners.

Strong Intune and endpoint deployment experience.

Strong IT technical Support competencies and handling of complex escalated technical issues.

Planning, Organising, and Coordinating: Proactively planning, establishing priorities, and allocating resources.

```Skills and Experience```

3rd Line Support Experience / Service Desk Expertise.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Working within a change management process in line with ISO27001.

Azure Cloud Services

Design and implementation experience across M365 solutions

Detailed knowledge of the M365 stack

An understanding of AWS Cloud Services would be advantageous.

An understanding of Cisco networking technologies would be advantageous.

MS365 Expertise (Troubleshooting, Migration, Security and Support)

End User Computing (Intune, Virtual Desktop, Group Policy)

Network Fundamentals (Firewall, DNS, DHCP)

Proven network administration and troubleshooting; TCP/IP, DNS, and WAN/ LAN /Wi-Fi.

Microsoft Business Products: Server OS, Desktop OS, Active Directory, Office 365, SharePoint. (User and Group administration).

Advanced technical knowledge of enterprise-level computing, mobile devices, software, operating systems (MS Windows) and office productivity tools.

An understanding of MAC OS and endpoints would be advantageous.

An understanding of the Events business domain would be advantageous.

Experience working in SOC, NOC and SMC business structures would be advantageous.

Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a senior technical support position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £58,000.00-£60,000.00 per year

Additional pay:
