Job Overview
We are seeking two dedicated and motivated Gym Managers to oversee the daily operations of our women’s-only gym. The Gym Manager will play a key role in ensuring a welcoming, safe, and empowering environment for all members while ensuring smooth, efficient gym operations. You will report to the Head Gym Manager and be responsible for staff supervision, member satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Daily Operations: Oversee the day-to-day running of the gym, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring that the facility is always clean, safe, and operational.
• Staff Supervision: Lead and motivate the team of receptionists, personal trainers, and baristas, ensuring smooth collaboration and top-level service for all gym members.
• Customer Service: Maintain a high level of member engagement by handling inquiries, resolving complaints, and promoting a positive gym culture that encourages loyalty.
• Membership... Management: Support members with onboarding, provide gym tours, assist with membership sales and renewals, and ensure members have an exceptional experience.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure the gym complies with all health and safety regulations, including the maintenance of equipment and management of emergency protocols.
• Performance Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to the Head Gym Manager, ensuring KPIs are met, including membership growth, retention, and satisfaction levels.
• Financial Oversight: Assist with budget management, including tracking and reporting on expenses, retail sales, and ensuring revenue targets are met.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Previous Experience: 2+ years of experience in gym management or a similar role within the health and fitness industry.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage a team, provide clear direction, and maintain high service standards.
• Customer Service Focused: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with members, staff, and partners.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet and manage issues quickly and effectively.
• Organised and Efficient: Able to multitask, prioritise responsibilities, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Health and Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of gym equipment and safety regulations.
• Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with staff and senior management.
Desirable Qualifications:
• Fitness qualifications or experience in personal training.
• Experience with gym management software
• First Aid and CPR certification
