At Holistic Education and Sport Support Services (HES), we are dedicated to bringing parents and children together using sport and education as powerful tools to improve health, educational attainment, and community involvement. Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Sport Coach to join our team at HES. As a Sport Coach, you will play a vital role in our mission to connect parents and children, improve health and well-being, and create employment opportunities within our communities. Your role will involve working closely with schools, families, and other organisations to deliver impactful sports and education programmes.
We currently have two different sets of part time hours available:
- Monday - Friday | After School Club | 1hr per day | Edmonton based school | Optional 6hr weekends.
- Monday - Friday | Lunchtime club + After... School Club | 3.5hr per day | Southgate based school and nursery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with schools to identify families in need of support and design tailored sports and education programmes.
- Lead and facilitate school sports clubs, physical education lessons, mentoring programmes, camps, and workshops.
- Engage children in activities that promote physical fitness, nutrition awareness, social skills, and confidence.
- Contribute to the development of our Disability Sports programme to improve physical and mental health, social integration, and life skills in children and young people.
- Work alongside schools to identify parents interested in gaining accredited qualifications and provide education support.
- Utilise your relationships with schools to support parents in finding employment opportunities within the industry.
Qualifications:
- A passion for sports, education, and community development.
- Coaching certifications or relevant qualifications in sports coaching.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with children and young people.
- Commitment to our mission of improving health, educational attainment, and community engagement.
- Existing qualifications, such as coaching certifications or FA level qualifications, would be a bonus and strengthen your candidacy.
- DBS check: If not already in possession of one, successful candidates will be required to undergo a DBS check before commencing work.
