Job Overview
Our company is seeking a VAT Senior to join our team. The Vat Senior is responsible for overseeing the VAT processing operations within our firm. This role requires an understanding of how VAT applies to our clients in their industry and ensuring the VAT scheme is set up and implemented correctly. They will ensure that VAT returns are produced accurately, timely and efficiently and submitted correctly through VT Software. This position requires communicating with our clients regularly, asking to provide documents, letting them know of any payments to be made and dealing with HMRC on their behalf. The position also requires a good grasp of Turkish language, as most of our client base are Turkish speaking. The role will be assisted by a VAT clerk in data entry and production of the VAT returns, but your position will have responsibility in directing the workflow, ensuring work is completed on time.
Duties
• Manage and supervise all vat processing activities to ensure... adherence to monthly and quarterly return schedules.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain accurate records of VAT returns produced, submitted, clients to be contacted for records, payments of tax or fees etc.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the vat processing stages and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Skills
• Good Turkish-speaking skill is a requirement
• Strong leadership abilities
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address work challenges
• In-depth knowledge of vat processing techniques
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficient in using production management software and tools.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with others in the office and with clients to explain work produced and tax owed.
The position offered can be fulfilling work with a friendly work environment. A prospect to increase salary as experience is gained in this role will be reviewed within 6 months.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £29,000.00 per year
