What this position is all about: Cellarity, Inc. is seeking a CO/OP to join our Genomics Development team. As part of a collaborative group, you will help to assist in the optimization and validation of data generation workflows focused on single-cell transcriptomics. These protocols are used across a wide range of biological areas to further our understanding of disease, with the goal of creating novel and effective treatments for patients. A successful candidate in this role will exhibit strong scientific rigor and critical thinking, as well as curiosity and eagerness to learn in a cutting-edge scientific setting.

What you would be responsible for:

• Optimization of sample preparation protocols for single-cell workflows.
• Contributions to experiment design and analysis plans with the goal of validating new methods.
• Preparation and quality control assessment of cells suspensions, sequencing libraries, and sequencing data.
• A brief presentation on goals, design, and results of the experiments collaborating with other teams.
• Detailed lab notebook entries and digital tracking of data.

What experiences will you need:

• Basic molecular biology skills – Aseptic technique, precise pipetting of small volumes in the microliter range, DNA/RNA extraction, nucleic acid quantification, automated electrophoresis, PCR, NGS a plus.
• Handling of frozen tissues or cells (human, mouse origin)
• Fundamental lab and chemical safety knowledge (onsite training will be provided).
