Job Descrption
An exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer or established risk engineer with specialist knowledge of the oil & gas or petrochemical or energy sector. You will be joining a global insurance broker to conduct pre-risk surveys for facilities in several international territories.
Overview
To deliver client service through performing insurance risk surveys of clients' facilities and preparation of detailed written reports for the international reinsurance market. Also, responsible for providing engineering technical support to; Account Executives, the Claims Department, and Insurance Risk Seminars.
Examples of tasks / responsibilities
• Identifies and manages client requirements in accordance with the terms of appointment
• Lead plant surveys and present recommendations at Plant Director level
• Builds and maintains strong client relationships
• Ensures there are sufficient resources to meet client day-to-day demands and escalates servicing issues to divisional management as... necessary
• Provide written and author expertise for reports, proposals, specials studies, articles and client documentation.
• Provide timely and accurate detailed engineering reports for the international insurance market.
• Manage clients' and underwriters' requirements in accordance with the terms of the appointment and maintain the client relationship.
• Ensure that clients' business and operational risks are identified and assessment and interpretation is undertaken regularly.
• Assist with the management of key clients and overall corporate reputation.
• Acts as an ambassador of the business and the London market
Essential skills
• Engineering degree or Chartered Engineer qualification
• Extensive operational experience of oil, gas or petrochemical facilities
• Knowledge of oil, gas and energy industries
• Flexible approach to international travel
Desirable Skills
• Insurance and industry structure and operation, including regulations (non-essential)
• Sector specific risk and insurance products/solutions (non-essential)
• Fluent Spanish speaker (desirable)
• Fluent French speaker (desirable)
