About Row on 5:
Row on 5 by Jason Atherton will be our flagship restaurant in Mayfair. It will take over two floors of a new building on Savile Row. The concept is “a culinary voyage” involving a multi-course dining experience. On the ground floor, there’s a mix of counter dining and tables for 36 diners. Downstairs there’s an open kitchen and bar and room for 22 more diners, along with a private dining room – cellar – with eight seats. We're on a mission to redefine the dining experience, and we're looking for a passionate staff to join our team and be a part of this exciting journey.
Responsibilities:
• Table Setup: Assist in setting up tables, linens, and tableware to ensure a polished dining experience for guests.
• Beverage... Service: Serve beverages, including wine, cocktails, and other drinks, with a focus on presentation and guest satisfaction.
• Food Delivery: Assist in delivering food orders to tables promptly and accurately, following fine dining service standards.
• Customer Interaction: Interact with guests professionally, take orders, provide menu recommendations, and address any inquiries or special requests.
• Assistance to Waitstaff: Support senior waitstaff in ensuring smooth service flow, including clearing tables, refilling beverages, and assisting with guest needs.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the front-of-house team, chefs, and kitchen staff to deliver a seamless dining experience.
About You:
As a Commis Waiter, we are looking for someone who:
• Experience: Has a minimum of 2 years of experience as a commis waiter in a fine dining establishment.
• Fine Dining Background: Possesses a strong background in fine dining service and a good understanding of fine dining etiquette.
• Customer Focus: Demonstrates a customer-centric approach, with a commitment to providing exceptional service and attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues.
• Team Player: Works collaboratively in a team environment, follows instructions, and contributes to a positive work atmosphere.
• Availability: Willing to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a commis waiter in a fine dining setting.
• Service Skills: Proficient in beverage service, food delivery, and fine dining service standards.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with wine service, menu descriptions, and fine dining protocols.
• Availability: Flexible schedule to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
• Certifications: Food safety certification is a plus.
