Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for a Fork Lift Truck Operative to join our successful client based in the Edmonton London N9,area. Our client is a leader in national business waste management services.

The role is to operating FLT Counterbalance Truck perform a various of task including tipping and loading of vehicle outside in all weather conditions. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, attention to safety and follow project timelines and complete tasks within the set deadlines. A minimum of one year experience in operating mobile plant equipment and CPCS, Lantra, Npors accredited are essential.

Pay rate: £12.72 per hour, weekly pay in 1-week arrears

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm (1h unpaid break)

FLT - Duties & Responsibilities –Fork Lift Truck Operator

As an FLT... Operative, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and upkeep of waste industry facility. Working as part of a team the FLT Operator is to ensure the areas are always clean and tidy ensuring health and safety processes are always followed. This is a multi-faceted role which will sometimes require work away from the FLT and designated other duties, so you must be comfortable with any job assigned to you by your superior.

Responsibilities

-Operating the counterbalance truck outside on the yard under varying site conditions
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and inspections at the start of work
- Stockpiling baled material

- Loading containers
- Transporting materials within the facility
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and superiors
- Always adhere to health and safety regulations

Requirements

- Valid FLT Counterbalance Driver certification is crucial
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to health and safety regulations
- Good physical condition to handle the demands of the role
- Experience in waste industry desirable,

- Competency in using forklifts for loading and unloading tasks
