Associate UI Designer - Stacks Team, Full Time

AudioStack is looking for an Associate UI Designer based in London, who wants to take their career to the next level and help AudioStack scale to the next level .

AudioStack has the biggest selection of... text-to-speech, speech-to-speech and voice-cloning solutions in the market and is constantly expanding and improving our selection for our customers. You will own the processes for evaluating, integrating and automating these processes. You'll also take a key role in developing our product and customer analytics at AudioStack. You will be working as part of our AI/ML team working closely with our machine learning engineers, software engineers and product owners to ensure we are best in the industry.

What you’ll be doing
• Contributing to a cutting edge AI product for audio, by designing UI components and feature additions with the support of senior team members.
• Developing your practice as a designer in a fast paced industry, where we iterate rapidly and deliver value to our customers every week.
• Maintaining and updating the AudioStack design system, ensuring consistency and quality across your designs.
• Proactively sharing updates with team members and delivering UI designs for the development team to build.

What a typical week in this role might look like
• Maintenance and upkeep of design system - 10 hours per week - making sure all components are added here and kept tidy so developers can easily implement changes
• Designing feature additions/ iterations on existing workflows - 15 hours per week
• Reviews with other designers / collaborators / line manager - 5 hours per week
• Communication with development team and giving input on design decisions - 5 hours per week
• Learning and development - 5 hours per week

Requirements
• At least 1 year of full time work experience in UI design after graduation (or 2 years’ full time experience for those without a degree)
• Qualified to degree level in a relevant subject, or via a reputable bootcamp programme (short online courses will not be comprehensive enough to prepare you for this role)
• You are a music maker or producer who understands how to make music using a DAW. You understand the basics of music theory as well as good audio recording practices.
• You are proficient using Figma - this means you are comfortable creating components, building prototypes, and creating consistency in your designs using features such as Auto-Layout and design tokens.
• You are enthusiastic, proactive and keen to learn.
• You are a confident, professional communicator. You have experience collaborating with a professional development team in an in-person or hybrid setting.
