Experience Housing Officer/Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day housing operations, including tenancy management, rent collection, property inspections, and addressing tenant concerns.
• Provide advice and support to tenants on housing-related matters, ensuring they understand their rights and responsibilities.
• Handle tenancy agreements, allocations, and renewals, ensuring compliance with housing regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance work, liaising with contractors and ensuring jobs are completed in a timely manner.
• Address and resolve tenant complaints and issues promptly, maintaining a high standard of customer service.
• Conduct regular property inspections to ensure health and safety standards are met.
• Monitor rent arrears and work with tenants to develop payment plans or take appropriate action where necessary.
• Work closely with other teams and external agencies... to support vulnerable tenants and improve housing services.
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate records of housing activities.
Skills and Experience Required:
• Proven experience in a housing officer or similar role within the housing or property management sector.
• Strong knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy law, and best practices in housing management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with tenants, colleagues, and external partners.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and empathetic approach to resolving issues.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Competence in using housing management software and Microsoft Office.
