About Us
We are an ambitious and rapidly expanding financial services group specialising in FX and payments. As we progress towards obtaining our FCA e-money license, we seek a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer to join us at the group level. This pivotal role will drive operational excellence, oversee the EMI build-out, and ensure regulatory compliance as we prepare for full e-money institution status.
Role Overview
As COO, you will play a central role in developing our e-money services, particularly within FX and payments. You will have a strong focus on operational oversight, from implementing and optimising virtual IBAN solutions to managing end-to-end reconciliation processes. You’ll work closely with the senior leadership team to design and execute strategies that ensure efficient operations, seamless client experiences, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the operational strategy for building out the EMI in line with FCA... e-money licensing requirements.
• Oversee the development and implementation of virtual IBAN solutions, managing workflows to ensure effective reconciliation and settlement processes.
• Develop and monitor key performance metrics, driving operational efficiency and optimising financial processes.
• Collaborate with compliance and risk management to ensure ongoing adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Drive process improvements and automation within the FX and payments infrastructure, enhancing operational scalability.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to support our growth objectives and maintain excellent client service standards.
Qualifications and Experience
• Proven experience in a senior operational role within FX, payments, or financial services, ideally with a focus on EMI or FCA-regulated institutions.
• Strong understanding of virtual IBAN provision, reconciliations, and payments operations.
• Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and optimise operational processes within a regulated environment.
• Excellent leadership skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams and fostering collaboration across departments.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and licensing processes within the UK financial services sector, particularly FCA e-money licensing.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a hands-on approach to operational management.
