Job Description

The Title and Registration Specialist will be responsible for managing the title and registration process for our fleet. This person will ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to vehicle titles and registrations. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and governmental agencies.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Assemble, maintain, and record information
  • Process MSO’s (Manufacturer's Statement of Origin) and paperwork for vehicle registrations and renewals
  • Maintain license plate inventory
  • Ensure proper processing of licenses plates to ensure we maximize credit and transfers (in applicable states)  
  • Partner with vendors and branches to ensure timely processing of registrations and renewals
  • Follow up with vendors about pending work
  • Assist in the vendor selection process by researching and qualifying vendors
  • Validate invoices for payment
  • Check data for accuracy, while revising errors  
  • Assist with other car control clerical tasks  
  • Perform other job duties as assigned to meet the business needs  

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of title experience required
  • Understanding of state-specific title and registration requirements.
  • Familiarity with DMV processes and systems is a plus.
  • Effective communicate skills both verbally and in writing 
  • Ability to gather and analyze information from multiple sources and take appropriate action  
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Ability to analyze information analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task 
  • Must have the ability to work well with cross functional teams  
  • Knowledge of MS Office software Word and Excel
