Job Description

Please note this is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 08:30 till 16;30. 

The purpose of this role is to complete, to the required quality standards, the analysis of samples for a given method using laboratory techniques. 

Main duties to include:

  • Undertaking all tasks within the main laboratory appropriate to the level of training given to you by senior analysts and management. 
  • Registration, preparation, and analysis of samples as required.
  • Maintain a clean as you go mentality
  • Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
  • Adhering to documented procedures for all aspects of laboratory work, ensuring that all relevant information concerning samples is recorded, that samples are handled correctly, and that all necessary records and quality data are maintained.
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed throughout the day. 
  • Maintain turnaround time at >95%, ensuring that daily targets are achieved.
  • Work with the team to drive the laboratory forward through continuous improvement.

 

Qualifications

  • Educated to GCSE level, or equivilant
  • Experience in working in part of a team
  • Good organisation and time management
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to self-motivate
