Job Purpose:
This role is an opportunity to join the Toxicology Research and Development Team, which spans across the Forensic Toxicology and Workplace Drugs Testing Teams. You will be involved in the development of new methods and method validation studies. You will be required to undertake extractions of biological matrices and process the analytical data from these experiments.
Key Responsibilities
Knowledge, Experience and Technical Skills
For this role you must have a chemistry degree or equivalent, have strong verbal and written communication skills, and have good planning and organisational skills. You must also have a strong sense of accountability and initiative. Previous experience in Forensic Toxicology or Workplace Drugs Testing, sample preparation techniques, instrumentation and related software, and Microsoft Office would be a benefit to the role.
Person Specific
You will demonstrate initiative and be able to work independently whilst being responsive to direction when needed. You will be a strong team. You will be well organised, have the ability to multi-task, and work well to deadlines while managing a flexible workload and showing a high level of personal resilience. A sense of innovation and the desire to make continual improvements to set processes will be highly beneficial. You must be responsible and be accountable for yourself and others. You will also be willing to take on extra duties or responsibilities for the team/department when required.
