A 2 Year postdoctoral position is available at MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences (LMS) to work in the Meiosis group headed by Dr Enrique Martinez-Perez. This position is expected to be filled by the successful candidate from January 2025. The LMS is a world-class research laboratory where scientists and clinicians collaborate to advance the understanding of biology and its application to medicine. Funded by the MRC as part of UK Research and Innovation, the LMS has a collaborative working culture and new state-of-the-art building based in the heart of West London in the Hammersmith Hospital Campus.
We are looking for a talented and self-motivated molecular cell biologist or biochemist to join the Meiosis research group. The main goal of the project will be to investigate how different protein complexes control the three-dimensional organization... and function of meiotic chromosomes to ensure fertility in the nematode C. elegans. The successful candidate must hold a PhD or equivalent, and experience in Molecular Biology. The successful candidate will have the ability to develop and apply new concepts, have a creative approach to problem solving, and will be able to write clearly and succinctly for publication

• Additional allowances comprise a £1,000 lump sum Settlement Allowance plus a yearly Training Allowance of £850 in the first year, paid in monthly instalments. The Training Allowance increases to £1,300 in year two.
