Job Description
What's it all about?
The Digital Partnerships team is responsible for Visa’s relationships with the largest technology companies and platforms in the world. The team identifies, structures, and closes deals to pursue opportunities with these critical companies. Digital Partnerships team works closely with Visa’s Product and Solutions teams (functions and services) to identify and pursue new merchant, Issuing & Acquiring clients, service providers and ecosystem participants in European payments.
The Digital Partnerships Manager will drive Visa’s digital, innovation and business agenda with named Digital Partners. The role requires sales and business development mindset and this individual will manage client relationships, prospect and execute new business opportunities to achieve Visa’s commercial objectives. Partnering with clients to drive value added services, enable new flows, expand acceptance, and grow Visa usage is a key element of this role. The role is ideal for someone who wants to grow a career in the intersection of business development, digital products and global partnerships.
Day to day responsibilities:
- Engage with B2C digital partners – Build strong relationships and be in a driving sit to understand client needs and identify new business opportunities for Visa. Structure and negotiate new opportunities with the support of the team leader and oversee the execution of those initiatives and deals. Design account plans in alignment with client strategies and team OKRs, plan execution and deploy it in an agile way.
- Focus on revenue generating client engagements - identify new commercial opportunities to bring sales of VAS, CMS and core Visa products (issuing, acquiring); monitor existing deals and payment volumes for incremental revenue streams (performance optimisation, cross border volumes, new acceptance use cases etc.)
- Invest in strengthening matured solutions with clients (tokens, 3DS etc) and deploying foundation for the next generation payment flows (Click to Pay, open banking, Instalments, B2B flows, Visa Direct etc.). Establish fluency in all Visa merchant/ digital partner solutions and communicate and articulate all aspects of Visa value propositions for strategic partners, consultatively identify and prioritize partner needs and craft tailored solutions that drive specific commercial metrics and increase client satisfaction with Visa products/services. Learn, build, and articulate the Visa value proposition.
- Optimize business initiative investments – develop appropriate business cases and forecasts, advocate for funding, identify and deploy Visa resources to address objectives, track our performance, and use learnings to inform future investment).
- Establish strong internal partnerships. Support the key foundational aspects of the partners’ businesses in partnership with the key SME’s/functional teams across Visa, including Client Services, Visa membership/licensing, legal/regulatory requirements, client operational optimisation, rules/product/technology change, rules compliance, technological resilience, and business continuity. Collaboratively deliver on responsibilities for various clients’ and internal outcomes.
- Develop a broad understanding of issues and trends affecting the payments landscape. Bring industry insights to clients while continuously demonstrating Visa industry thought leadership and value.
- Strive to deliver Visa goals and be a role model for Visa’s leadership principles.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.
