The Senior Director will be a member of CEMEA Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) Practice Areas leadership team. This person will play a key role in a) Scaling VCA Technology Practice, b) Leading the development and execution on VCA’s strategic bets aimed at driving platform and program based revenues. The role will require close collaboration with VCA practice area leads, data science & engineering, VCA cluster leads, VU leadership as well as executives and business leaders across Visa’s organization. The team is also responsible for thought leadership on Technology and Education topics. The position will be based at Visa’s CEMEA headquarters in Dubai.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Scaling of VCA Technology Practice
Expand VCA Technology areas of support (included but not limited to Data Infrastructure, Mobile Banking Development, Implementation of Visa Products, Cards Operations etc.), developing potential offerings and go to market in close collaboration with other practices, VCA geographic leaders and other Visa function
Identify potential partners functional to the delivery of technology projects
Drive commercialization and revenues for the technology practice in CEMEA
Coordinate with global counterparts in other VCA global regions to facilitate the share of experience, experts and partners in the technology space
Supporting the development and execution of VCA’s strategic bets
Support the execution of in-flight strategic bets including but not limited to project management, partner engagement, client pitches and delivering on internal processes (e.g., NBIA)
Lead already identified initiatives to accelerate VCA growth include launch of new digital and risk platforms, commercialization of data solutions and programs for mid - long tail clients
Ensure identification and execution of additional strategic programs developed to drive tangible commercial impact, secure active stakeholder buy-in and provide a clear actionable path across stakeholders to implementation
Evaluate inorganic opportunities for their strategic value to advance the advisory business, in cooperation with other practices and VAS functions
Across the three mentioned areas of responsibility the role will
Drive thought leadership in the space of Technology and Education with creative, but highly practical and implementable solutions to the challenges faced by VCA
Develop clear, simple and impactful executive level communications, with a strong ability to persuade and influence senior decision makers
Demonstrate outstanding people skills including coaching and inspiring team members, supporting colleagues and acting as a magnet for future top talent to the VCA team
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
• Bachelor's degree from top-tier institution or similar academic experience required
• 13+ years of relevant industry, management consulting, strategy experience required
• Solid experience in the technology space in both managerial and executional roles
• Strong payments industry experience preferred
• Comfortable with a minimal amount of direction and high expectations
• Strong people skills to navigate across teams and varied levels
