The Manager will support the Corporate and External Communications team across a wide range of corporate communications activity including media relations, issues management, PR announcements and campaigns. You can expect to:
Manage incoming media enquiries and seeking opportunities for media coverage of Visa.
Support on PR announcements including drafting press releases and creating integrated, multi-channel communications plans.
Partner with our in-market teams across Europe and global colleagues on communications initiatives.
Prepare briefing documents for senior executive media and event engagements.
Support on the development of messaging for our external audiences that demonstrates the value that Visa brings to European economies, people and businesses.
Manage daily media coverage reporting.
Promote the value of communications through strong reporting and measurement of activity.
Contribute to the tracking, recording, and reporting of our issues management and reputation risk programmes.
Support our communications crisis preparedness work.
Help ensure that all policies and processes are robustly managed and evidenced.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
As our ideal candidate, you will:
Have public relations/corporate communications experience, including media relations and issues management, in an in-house or agency environment.
Have exceptional language skills in English to develop content to drive communications initiatives, other European languages an advantage.
Demonstrate the ability to write clearly and concisely, incorporating the corporate narrative and storytelling into your work.
Show strong presentation skills.
Be an agile, confident thinker, able to grasp complex topics quickly.
Have the curiosity to develop deep knowledge and understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing Visa and our industry.
Be up to date with industry trends and communications best practices, channels, tools and techniques.
Demonstrate that you are well organised and able to manage small communications projects and processes, ensuring operational excellence.
Work as a collaborative team player who builds and maintains positive relationships with colleagues across our European corporate communications team, our business stakeholders and our agency partners.
Be capable of achieving results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, often on short deadlines.
Understand how to budget for communications initiatives.
