Job Description

The Senior Director, VAS Go-to-Market (GTM) will partner closely with the VAS product businesses and our regional product and solutions teams to both govern and enable the process of bringing new products and services to market.  Focused on ensuring products are aligned to client needs, ready for distribution to customers and enabled to be sold and activated.  The role will work closely with our regional sales and product leaders to support and enable those teams for success. 

This role sits at the intersection of multiple product organizations and all regions of Visa requiring organizational savvy and strong interpersonal skills. In addition, this individual will have real hands-on experience launching products to clients in a B2B environment, with a proven track record of success in fast-paced environments with demanding timelines. 

This is a unique opportunity to help drive product delivery excellence within Visa’s business while collaborating with key members of the Product Organization on a regular basis. This role reports to the SVP, VAS Strategy and Commercial Operations.

Job responsibilities:

  • Manages commercialization of VAS products through the product and delivery lifecycle, aligns to the standards and processes set by global product team
  • Defines the governance steps for product/solution GTM, ensuring that we have consistent standards regarding market readiness and availability- across all products and regions- and ensures that functions such as sales and CS are “ready”
  • Executes or orchestrates execution for delivering products to market and coordinates activities across marketing, pricing and sales enablement teams to deliver
  • Acts as the hub for GTM teams in the regions- provides central enablement for marketing, sales enablement, pricing and support- operating across all of these critical teams to ensure markets have solutions with proper infrastructure to be marketed and sold
  • Executes market research for products, acts as intake mechanism for client feedback centrally to inform VAS product roadmap
  • Manages client insights program via insights tools to measure NPS scores of businesses and capture point of interaction feedback on products

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Demonstrate years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or a minimum of 5 years of experience with a PhD.

  • Strong command of financial, market and consumer data with the ability to grasp complex and detailed issues.
  • Commercially astute with experience of working in a fast-paced changing global matrix organization.

  • Ability to build deep relationships at senior levels within the organization and navigate complex structures.
  • Servant leader with a high EQ who can act as a sounding board and a representative to the organization on the CPO’s behalf

  • Tremendous oral and written communication skills, able to craft compelling communications in short time frames with editorial prowess. 
  • Advanced visual design skills that enable simple, elegant storytelling to both internal and external audiences

  • Excellent project management and program management skills and experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adjust to multiple tasks / demands and constantly shifting priorities under tight deadlines and time constraints.
  • A hands-on approach to all activities with an unwavering passion for excellence that is contagious.
